At Sleep Medicine Specialists...
It is our goal to restore
your quality of life by helping you achieve restful,
restorative sleep. Our physicians and technicians have
years of practical experience and use state of the art
equipment.
Our facilities are designed
to provide the greatest possible comfort and privacy.
We are accredited by the American Sleep Disorders Association.
Sleep Medicine Specialists is an independent medical
facility not affiliated with a hospital. We have the
flexibility to accommodate your needs and busy schedule.
Seven nights a week sleep studies are performed in private
comfortable "sleep suites" with a shower,
cable TV and either a full or queen size bed.
|
|

| |
There are approximately 70 million Americans
who suffer from sleep problems, among which an estimated
40 million have a diagnosable and treatable sleep disorder,
yet most remain undiagnosed.
Sleep deprivation and the late
shift
Competition and a demand for greater productivity has
inspired many companies to keep employees working around
the clock. Unfortunately, those workers on the night
shift or on irregular schedules often pay a high price
in terms of sleep quality. A person's body is never
fully able to adapt to a "nocturnal" schedule,
meaning that many shift workers constantly battle sleep
deprivation. Creating the most peaceful environment
possible during the day is important in helping these
employee cope.
